Well we're back from a great 2008 Convention. We achieved second place in the small chorus division and fourth overall. The 87 strong Waikato Rivertones were the overall winners. For more Convention results visit our Regional website at www.sweetadelines.co.nz

We had a wonderful time, although some of our singers were affected with voice and throat illness[winter bugs].However we were all able to perform in the Competition.

Four International judges ran educational workshops after the contest, which were very well received. There was a full day's training available to Directors to help them advance their knowledge and skills.

We are immensely grateful to Pub Charities for their generous assistance which enabled us to travel to the Sweet Adelines Convention and for accommodation during our stay in Hamilton. We also appreciate the capable and friendly service of Kay Adams, our coach driver.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of Pub Charity, Charitable Trust
